Hello! A lot has happened in the last few months! Firstly, I've swept up the dust bunnies and put a fresh coat of paint on my website. Click the navigation button in the top right to take a look around.
Most recently, the official launch of Symphony Number One, the east-coast's newest chamber orchestra, was a huge success! Jordan Randall Smith conducted our debut concerts featuring the world premiere of Mark Fromm's aptly titled Symphony No. 1. I particularly enjoyed blending the soprano saxophone's tone color with Mark's unusual arsenal of wind instruments including alto flute, oboe, english horn, Basset Horn, bass clarinet, bassoon, and French horns.
As Director of Development & Artistic Operations with Symphony Number One, it's been an exhilarating experience building a "refreshingly innovative" new orchestra from scratch! We now have several outstanding programs planned for our 2015-2016 season.
Now for big news! Thanks to the Peabody Conservatory's Career Development Grant, I'm going to France! I'll be attending the 26th edition of the Univerité Européene de Saxophone in Gap, in the Hautes-Alpes department of south-eastern France. Stay tuned for updates!
Last but not least, shout-outs go to Sarah Baumgarten, Benjamin Learish, Jennifer Nicole Campbell, Robert Pippin, and Andrew Posner for fantastic recitals in April and May; I enjoyed collaborating and playing with you all!
